Born and raised in Houston, I attended the University of North Texas, majoring in digital and print journalism and minoring in history and political science.

In my current role at Community Impact, I serve as editor for the Conroe/Montgomery and Tomball/Magnolia editions. I was previously a reporter covering government.

Before joining Community Impact, I worked as a staff writer at Southlake Style, pitching and writing stories for its website and print publication, writing and scheduling newsletters and managing the social media pages.

During my time at UNT, I worked at the North Texas Daily, the university’s student newspaper, covering topics like equal pay, local elections, the student government association and the COVID-19 pandemic. I served as a staff writer and senior staff writer before becoming the news editor of the publication in my final two semesters.

Alongside my work at the Daily, I have also interned at The Dallas Morning News, the Denton Record-Chronicle and Southlake Style. When not working, I am usually found lounging with my dog, Twix, watching reality TV or adding another mug to my collection.
