Born and raised in Houston, I attended the University of North Texas, majoring in digital and print journalism and minoring in history and political science.

In my current role at UTHealth Houston, I serve as a university communications specialist. Prior to this position, I worked at Community Impact as editor for the Conroe/Montgomery and Tomball/Magnolia editions.

I have also worked at Southlake Style, the North Texas Daily and have interned at The Dallas Morning News and the Denton Record-Chronicle.

When not working, I am usually found lounging with my dog, Twix, watching reality TV or adding another mug to my collection.
